GreenBeanie™ offers a variety of eco-friendly home solutions, tips and services to achieve greener, healthier living. It’s like retrofitting your household, and we call it “greenfitting.” Everyone’s family and home are unique and the process of “going green” is uncharted territory that we can help you navigate, regardless of where you are in the process. Green Home and Lifestyle Consults

Everyone’s home has different specs: design, construction materials, the age of the home, children, pets, city, suburbs. All these things play into how eco-friendly your home and lifestyle truly are. We don’t believe that turning a family’s lifestyle completely upside down in a day is the way to create a happy, sustainable environment — but implementing changes at your pace will actually make a difference.

Approach

Our consulting approach is simple, we…

• Take a tour of your home
• Discuss your green priorities
• Provide a phased action plan (Green Action Plan) that is doable and is based on your particular lifestyle
• Work with you on implementing the bigger jobs if you need us (we have specialized service providers)

In reviewing your home systems, consumption patterns, household habits, and “greenfitting” areas of interest, we help you see how incremental change adds up for the environment as well as savings for your wallet. We are happy to coordinate the implementation of these changes as we have specialized service providers that we can recommend, or we can work with yours.

Most initial consults are in overview fashion, but we provide consults on specific projects as well, such as the following:

Price Structure

We are reasonable. We have four packages that range from a basic review of your home followed by a green action plan to more hands-on packages that allow us to be your on-hand green guru. Packages start at $250. Customized plans are also available.

Territory

Currently we are only available for Southern California home consults, but we are available for phone consultations at $100 per hour to everyone else if you need some advice on a particular subject or project. Minimum of 30-minute charge.

Speaking Engagements

If you are looking to educate a small or large group on a facet of the green industry, we are also available for green-focused speaking events in the Southern California area. We have spoken to community organizations, women’s’ groups, and school organizations on many topics, including toxins in the home, greening your kitchen, school composting and packing a waste-free lunch.

Referral Program

GreenBeanie™ has a great referral program that is customized for your green goals! If your referrals use GreenBeanie™ for any service, we will give 25% of your referrals’ initial service back to you in consultation, services, or products. We believe that a friend’s recommendation is worth more than any advertising!
